Job Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer / Architect to design, maintain, and optimize cloud solutions on the Amazon Web Services platform. In this role, you will streamline the development lifecycle, enhance continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and ensure robust, scalable infrastructure to support diverse business objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, IT operations, and product management, to deliver innovative solutions that drive operational excellence.

Duties and Work Process
  • Design and architect AWS-based infrastructure solutions, following best practices and security standards.
  • Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization to maintain high availability.
  • Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g., Amazon CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog).
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and promote DevOps methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new AWS services to improve system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudFormation.
  • Excellent knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon EKS).
  • Strong skills in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodeBuild/CodeDeploy, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps best practices, including microservices architecture and agile methodologies.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities for cross-departmental teamwork.
  • Demonstrated experience with security and compliance in cloud environments.
Work Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure role.
  • Proven track record in architecting, managing, and optimizing AWS environments.
  • Prior experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications is a plus.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are strongly preferred.
